A beautiful handmade knife.

Our side of the story.

Kenji booked a few days to come stay with his family in our little urban farm AirBnB guesthouse, which lies at the end of a gravel road in the Willamette Valley. As he was unloading his precious cargo, Gordon greeted him from our bladesmith shop- with knife in hand. Kenji was immediately intrigued and began asking questions about the specimen. Even though it was Thanksgiving week and we usually only do full day knife making classes, we agreed to do just a few hours here and there to help him make a knife during his stay. THe next morning, he showed up in full video documentation equipment and casually asked if he could take some footage. We sent him home with a partially completed Black Walnut handle and green g10 spacers almost ready to place on his Takefu Suminagashi 6” or so blade. It was fun! Kenji is a genuine, smart, lively, and very interesting person. And now, we have had the joy of developing a beautiful knife with him to offer to the public! Our first drop will be deliverable in time for Father’s Day 2025!
